Response time
I aim to respond within 2 business days. Critical bugs (data loss, crashes on launch) get priority.
Does Postdeck auto-publish my posts?
No — by design. Postdeck prepares your caption, image, and hashtags, copies them to the clipboard, then opens the platform app so you post manually. No OAuth, no API breakage, no account-suspension risk.
Which platforms are supported?
Instagram, X (Twitter), LinkedIn, Threads, Bluesky, Reddit, Mastodon, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and Pinterest — each with its own character limits, aspect ratios, and previews.
Is there a subscription?
No. Postdeck is free to download with a one-time Postdeck Pro unlock for unlimited drafts, the Marketing tab, calendar view, advanced hashtag groups, smart reminders, and batch export.
Do I need an API key for AI captions?
No. AI captions work for free on-device with Apple Intelligence (iOS 18+ / macOS 15+ on supported devices). Optionally bring your own Claude or ChatGPT key in Settings — requests go directly to your provider, never through my servers.
Where is my data stored?
Everything is stored locally on your device. No cloud sync, no remote servers, no tracking. Use Settings → Export to back up your drafts and metrics.
Can I use Postdeck on iPhone and Mac?
Yes — native iPhone, iPad, and macOS apps. The one-time purchase covers all platforms via Family Sharing.
How do I report a bug or request a feature?
Email joem.dev@icloud.com. For bugs, include your Postdeck version, iOS or macOS version, steps to reproduce, and a screenshot if you can.
