Landscape is the same pair of numbers swapped. You can upload 1 to 10 screenshots per device size, as .png, .jpg or .jpeg, with no transparency.

Quick answers
What's the minimum I need to upload?
For iPhone apps, one set of 6.9" screenshots (or 6.5" if you don't have 6.9"). Add 13" iPad screenshots if your app runs on iPad. Mac apps need one 16:10 set. App Store Connect scales your largest set down for smaller devices.
Why does App Store Connect reject my PNG?
Usually an alpha channel. Screenshots can't contain transparency, even if every pixel is opaque in practice. Re-export without alpha, or save as JPEG. The checker above flags this.
Can I include the status bar?
Yes. The sizes above are full screen with status bar for modern devices. Only the old 3.5", 4" and 9.7" sizes have separate "no status bar" variants.
