// Features

Pre-Submit Audit

One-click audit aggregates checklist validation, metadata scoring, and rejection risk detection into a single pass/warn/fail verdict with Fix buttons. Know if your app is ready before you open App Store Connect.

Rejection Risk Detection

Pattern checks catch the most common reasons apps get rejected — placeholder text, missing demo accounts, COPPA violations, invalid entitlements, duplicate keywords, and more.

ASO Action Engine & Keyword Portfolio

Prioritised action items on the Overview scorecard tell you exactly what to improve next. Dedicated keyword portfolio with rank history sparklines, competition checks, and competitor gap analysis with one-click Add to Field.

Metadata Quality Scoring & Versioning

Every text field — name, subtitle, keywords, description, What's New — graded in real time with ASO feedback. Save metadata snapshots, compare with red/green diff view, restore any previous state.

Screenshot Studio

Design App Store screenshots with a 3-zone layout, 35+ built-in templates, device frames, text overlays, multi-device layouts, and panoramic split. Live Preview Board shows your full grid of locales × devices.

Icon Generator

Generate every required icon size from one source image — iOS, macOS, tvOS, visionOS, watchOS — with the right idioms and sizes for every target.

App Store Connect Sync

Connect your ASC API key to push metadata, fetch reviews, sync builds and IAPs, manage TestFlight groups and testers, and track submission status — without opening a browser.

Reviews, TestFlight & Analytics

Customer review dashboard with response templates and sentiment insights. TestFlight feedback and crash diagnostics. Sales, downloads, and IAP revenue with conversion funnel visualisation.

Compliance & Privacy

Age rating with 13 content descriptors, privacy nutrition label builder, GDPR tracker, PrivacyInfo.xcprivacy generation, export compliance, and 20+ framework feature flags.

Auto-Pilot & Xcode Integration

Auto-sync project settings from linked Xcode projects when the app becomes active. Smart change detection only updates fields you haven't customised. Strings catalog viewer and Fastlane export included.

Get in touch

Need help, found a bug, or have a feature request? Email flightcheckapp@icloud.com and I'll get back to you. Please include your FlightCheck version (Settings → About), macOS version, and a description of what you were doing.

Response time

FlightCheck is built and supported by one person. I aim to respond to support emails within 2 business days. Critical bugs (data loss, crashes on launch) get priority.

Privacy

FlightCheck stores all data locally on your Mac. ASC API keys live in Keychain. Sales and metadata sync only with App Store Connect via your own API key. See the privacy policy for full details.

// FAQ

How do I connect to App Store Connect?

Open the Connect tab in any project. You'll need an App Store Connect API Key (Issuer ID, Key ID, and .p8 file) with Admin or App Manager access. Create one at appstoreconnect.apple.com → Users and Access → Integrations → App Store Connect API. Keys are stored in your macOS Keychain.

What's the difference between the free and Pro versions?

Free tier supports 1 project with full access to audits, ASC sync, metadata editing, and reviews. FlightCheck Pro ($39.99 one-time) unlocks unlimited projects, device frame overlays in Screenshot Studio, and all future Pro features.

Why are my analytics showing zero?

Sales reports require your Vendor Number (Settings → Connect → Vendor Number) in addition to the API key. ASC also delays sales data by ~24–48 hours. New apps with no downloads will show empty charts.

Can I try it without my real ASC account?

Yes — Demo Mode (toggle in the sidebar) loads a sample project with fake metadata, reviews, sales, and TestFlight data so you can explore every tab before connecting your own account.

What does the MCP Server toggle do?

It exposes your FlightCheck project data to AI coding assistants (Claude Code, Cursor) via the Model Context Protocol, bound to localhost only. Disabled by default. Configure it in Settings → Integrations → MCP Server.

Where is my data stored?

Everything is stored locally in ~/Library/Containers/com.joemorton.preflight/Data/Library/Application Support/. Use File → Export Project Backup to create a .flightcheckbackup file you can move between machines or restore later.

Does FlightCheck submit my app for me?

You can submit for review directly from the Submit tab once metadata, screenshots, and builds are uploaded — but you stay in control. FlightCheck never submits without your explicit confirmation.

Which platforms does FlightCheck support?

FlightCheck runs on macOS 14+ and manages submissions for iOS, macOS, tvOS, visionOS, and watchOS apps.

How do I report a bug or request a feature?

Email flightcheckapp@icloud.com. For bugs, please include FlightCheck version, macOS version, steps to reproduce, and a screenshot if applicable.
